Project Overview

This project involved the design of a new elevated sunroom addition connected to an existing rear deck. The goal was to create a bright, year-round living space featuring a vaulted ceiling and a wood-burning fireplace, while maintaining the architectural balance and footprint of the existing home.

One of the primary challenges was working within site constraints, including proximity to the existing septic system and integration with existing elements such as the chimney and window layout. The design required careful structural coordination to maintain required setbacks while preserving the desired layout.

The final solution incorporated strategic footing placement and coordinated structural beam design to maintain the full footprint without compromising code requirements or structural performance. The result is a clean, well-integrated sunroom addition that enhances both functionality and overall property value.
